I just bid on ebay for a card reader because someone has a windows 7 computer here and when I will get the card reader we can connect it to his computer.Broadcom Card Reader drivers, Version 16.0.2.12. I just bid on ebay for a card reader because someone has a windows 7 computer here and when I will get the card reader we can connect it to his computer. will email to you again this evening, and maybe you can kindly read my card. I found a card reader on ebay, but cannot use it because my home computer system is windows 8.Īm not home now.
I use WIN 7 myself. The dealer of rge reader who told you that Win8 does not read the SM card is right.Īlso keep in mind that a 8mb card was the size that came with early cameras. Another option is to either find some else who has both a reader and a older OS.
Now if you want to and still need to see what is on the card, send me the card and I will copy all of the data on that card to a USB Flash (thumb drive.) and send it back to you. I also have a San Disk USB reader that can be used to read the SM cards. The SM card had a max capacity of 128mb, but the cameras that used them were very low MB units, so no need for large capacity cards. I still have (3) copies of the Olympus C-2100uz (UZI), a C-3020z (my first digital Olympus), both use the SM card. Sorry for not doing a reply to this thread sooner. Glad to move to the SD style in later cameras and get some reliability at last. The contacts were just too small and unreliable. Horrible little xD cards, everyone I knew with Olympus or Fuji cameras at the time had heaps of problems with them. I have some HUGE 128MByte xD cards, they cost a bomb then and are now worth exactly $0. The camera is still perfectly functional after near 13 years now but the 3MP images are not that exciting any more. I used those dreadful, unreliable xD cards and never used SmartMedia in it but I guess it would work. My old Oly C-730 can use those cards, but I do not live next door. I would like to see the pictures in this card: any idea how to? In it it is written Olympus SmartMedia 8MB-3.3 M-8P D3V20 SMFV008-OY1 4RT107CA1 KOREA 934Yĭid many years ago anybody in this forum happen to have an Olympus compact camera using a card like this? which camera was?
